ABOUT KL BUTTERFLY PARK
If you love butterflies, this park should be on top of your to-do list. The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is home to over 6,000 beautiful butterflies of various species fluttering freely beneath a netted canopy. Situated on the edge of Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens on Jalan Cenderawasih, the park is the largest butterfly garden in the world, spanning over 80,000 square feet of landscaped garden with butterflies, Koi fish, freshwater turtles, exotic plants and live insects. This is a family-friendly attraction that your children would definitely enjoy too.

The Butterfly Park has been featured on the Discovery Channel and broadcasted to more than 200 million viewers worldwide, saying “of all the butterfly parks in the world, none can compare with this one”.
The statement proves true because the whole garden is beautifully decorated with greens, wooden walkways and water features. The park mimics the tropical rainforest with the abundant greeneries, which is the butterfly’s natural habitat. This gorgeous butterfly paradise also contains over 15,000 plants.

The park opens daily from 9.00am - 5.30pm.
ENTRANCE FEE
The entrance fee for Malaysian adults is RM8 and RM2 for children. For non-Malaysian adults, the fee is RM18.
ATTRACTIONS NEAR THE BUTTERFLY PARK
You would typically need about an hour at the Butterfly Park to fully enjoy all that it offers. Other nearby attractions include the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, Hibiscus Garden and Orchid Garden. All of these family-friendly spots are just within walking distance from each other.
The Lake Gardens is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most renowned parks. Spanning 92 hectares of lush greenery and fresh vegetation, it’s a well-loved park for jogging and casual family picnics. Lake Gardens offers plenty of photo opportunities, so it’s no surprise that many local photographers frequent this park with their clients too.
The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park houses more than 3,000 birds from 200 species. You may also enjoy the beautiful flora at the Hibiscus Garden and Orchid Garden. Don’t forget to visit Bukit Bintang – the city’s hub for shopping, food and entertainment. It’s a short drive away from the Butterfly Park and offers a plethora of malls, restaurants and bars to suit your palette.

DIRECTIONS
#1 Taxi or Grab | RM25 - RM30 | Approximately 30 - 40 mins
The easiest way to travel to Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is by taxi or Grab. The cost is approximately between RM25 - RM30 from the hotel, depending on traffic conditions. The journey is about 17 kilometres long and will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
#2 Train / BRT (BRT / LRT) | RM3 - RM12 | Approximately 1 hr 15 mins
Board the BRT Sunway Line bus from Sunway Lagoon BRT Station to USJ 7 Station. Then, take a 43 minutes LRT train ride (Kelana Jaya Line) from USJ7 to Pasar Seni, and walk for about 1.5 kilometres to your destination.
