Saloma Link: Connecting Heritage and Modern Kuala Lumpur
Named after the legendary Malaysian singer Saloma, the Saloma Link is one of Kuala Lumpur's most recognisable architectural landmarks. Spanning 370 metres across the Klang River and the Ampang–Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), the pedestrian bridge seamlessly connects the traditional neighbourhood of Kampung Baru with the modern skyline of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
The bridge's distinctive design is inspired by the traditional sirih junjung, a decorative arrangement of betel leaves commonly featured in Malay ceremonies, symbolising Malaysia's rich cultural heritage. By day, visitors can admire its elegant architecture, while after sunset, the bridge comes alive with vibrant LED lighting that creates a spectacular backdrop for photography.
Saloma Link also offers stunning panoramic views of the Petronas Twin Towers and the surrounding city skyline, making it a favourite spot for both locals and tourists. Whether you're exploring Kampung Baru's local eateries or heading towards KLCC, the bridge provides a scenic and convenient walking route between two of Kuala Lumpur's most contrasting districts.
