Cambodia's main currency is the Cambodian Riel, but the US Dollar is also widely accepted throughout the country, and is even preferred in some spots. Carry cash in both currencies and you'll be prepared for most transactions, especially if you plan to do a lot of exploring.

The weather in Phnom Penh is tropical all year round, so packing will easy, with its 23°C (73°F) to 35°C (95°F) temperature averages. Just be wary from May to October, as that's typically when Phnom Penh sees a higher rainfall.

About 95% of the country speak its official language, Khmer. Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and English are also spoken, though learning a few Khmer phrases will definitely earn you an easier time there.
