TOWARDS ZERO SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BY 2030

In 2019, Sunway Hotels & Resorts moved away from single-use plastic straws and began offering only sugarcane straws as a move towards protecting our oceans and the life within. Aligning with Malaysia’s Roadmap Towards Zero Single Use Plastics 2018 – 2030 and supported by the Malaysia Plastics Sustainability Roadmap 2021 – 2030, Sunway Hotels & Resorts is working towards phasing out single-use items across all hotel operations. Here is how we are making that change:

Refillable Amenities
Our rooms are equipped with refillable dispensers for body wash, shampoo and hand soap.

Glass Bottles
Our rooms are now equipped with glass bottles. When you choose us as your preferred green meeting venue, you may opt for glass bottles, refillable water stations, or infused water.

Rattan Baskets
We have replaced in-room plastic laundry bags with rattan baskets for collecting your soiled linen.

Linen Reuse Programme
Place our linen card or cube on your bed to let our housekeeping team know you'd like to keep your bed sheets and towels unchanged.
