COMPOST FOR A GREENER TOMORROW

On-Site Composting
Sunway Resort Hotel eases the issue of food waste in Malaysia with the help of an on-site compost machine. Food scraps and leftovers from our buffet line and staff canteen are sent for composting. The compost can be used as soil conditioners to aid planting process, giving substantial yield increase particularly when compared with poor soils. The hotel’s compost was launched in 2019 and is used around Sunway City’s landscape with further plans for distribution and utilisation. 

Partnership with Nespresso
Our Nespresso pods do not go to waste. Through our recycling partner, each pod is processed by separating the coffee grounds for composting and the aluminium capsule for recycling.
