While it isn’t an F&B outlet that’s only available in Penang, it has quickly become a local favourite and the go-to destination for those who live nearby. It is, in essence, made-to-order hand-stretched noodles. Its one-of-a-kind noodle texture is something most places find hard to achieve. As like most places, you can have it cooked with various meats like chicken and beef, and have it dry or with soup.

We’re not talking about the Klang Valley’s interpretation of Rojak (which is basically Pasembur), but the fruit Rojak. Rojak is the symphony of various fruits like guava, pineapple, cucumber, etc. with a deliciously-concentrated fruit salad sauce (aka rojak sauce) that are usually mixed with blended groundnuts. This is easily one of Butterworth’s most famous hawker food as you can find it almost everywhere.
