So I know we love them dearly all year round, but Mother’s Day is the day to really show it. Shower her with love and attention, spoil her rotten and of course abide by the number one Mother’s Day rule – she’s off duty and banned from lifting a finger.
For me, my mother is my strength, inspiration and support. She has been one of my biggest cheerleaders since I started this blogging adventure.
My dad, sisters and I were thinking of doing something really special for her and started looking up online for some Mother's Day restaurant deals. After doing some research we decided to treat her to the “Sweetest Mother's Day Ever at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa” with a scrumptious buffet and even more exciting, meeting Chef Patrick Siau and his amazing team in person. If you haven’t heard, he was part of the team that won the 30th edition of the prestigious World Cup Pastry 2019 competition in Lyon, France. My mum is going to be so thrilled when she finds out! She's an avid baker and as long as I can remember, she’s been whipping out cakes, pastries, even some wonderful local kuih’s etc for all our birthday and special celebrations. Mum’s always looking for a baking adventure. She even took part in a bake off contest once for charity at church!
Chef Patrick’s creations are not readily available to public, so this will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to taste the creations from the master himself and I know she's going to just love it.
So just in case you are looking for some Mother's Day activities and celebration ideas, the promotion at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa is for Sunday High Tea buffet on Mother's day, 12 May 2019 which includes a delicious buffet lunch featuring Chef Patrick's special creations and luxurious selection of over 30 charming desserts, from local flavours to rich delectable pastries. And the best part, Mum’s dine for free when accompanied by three (3) paying adults. There's even some interactive mother and child activities lined up together with Chef Patrick and his team during high tea.
I found this anonymous quote online recently. It is so filled with truth, for all sons and daughters I believe...'Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.' Happy Mother's Day to all the endlessly kind and generous mammies, mums, moms and mammas out there and a big thanks and hugs for your everlasting love x.
