This year, inspired by the spectacular world of the Greatest Showman, the hotel is celebrating this festive season with the theme “The Greatest Christmas Show” with a carnival-themed setting to celebrate the most magical time of the year with inspired decorations, vacation ideas, dining specials and gourmet treats.
The Resort Café is offering a delectable spread for its Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Buffet with celebratory favourites. Up on the show-stopping centrepiece this year is the Seafood Tower featuring fresh selections like Live Irish Oyster, Scallop, Abalone Clam, Green Mussel, Tiger Prawn, Squid, Flower Crab, Baby Octopus, White Clam, Bamboo Clam, White Tuna Sashimi, Yabby, Seared Tuna, Crab Meat Salad, Salmon Gravlax and Salmon Sashimi, served with a variety of condiments.
Over at the meat section, you will be in for a real treat with the Slow-roasted Wagyu Beef Striploin, Oven-roasted Wagyu Beef Karubi and the Braised and Glazed Wagyu Ribs; and other time-honoured favourites such Roasted Brined Turkey with Dried Fruit Stuffing, Grilled Lamb Shoulder with Pommery Mustard Jus, Slow-cooked Duck Breast with Truffle Jus and a Middle Eastern twist – Whole Lamb on Briyani Rice.
Other highlights include the Seared Salmon Fillet on Mussel-Saffron Broth, Baked Tiger Prawns with Garlic Butter and Mozzarella Cheese, White Bean Casserole with Smokey Beef Bacon and Eggplant Parmigiana.
Diners with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed as the dessert bar will feature delectable selections such as the Raspberry Eclairs, Mango Compote Panna Cotta, Tiramisu, Breading Pudding with Pumpkin, Dresdner Stollen, Chocolate and Red Velvet Yule Log Cake, Mini Minced Meat Pies, a Chocolate Fountain with an assortment of condiments including Fruits and Marshmallows and much more. There will also be a Banana Split corner with accompanying condiments and Crepe Suzette made on the spot and served with Orange Sauce and Vanilla Ice-Cream.
As usual my family and I overate but it was really worth every penny.
